Hey everyone!

After purchasing the MAC oval 6 brush from MAC here in New Zealand (which I absolutely love! Thanks to Jacqueline and Tiffany for the recommendation) I have realised that I would save a HEAP of money by ordering off American sites such as Sephora and having it sent via YouShop to New Zealand. I paid 108 NZD for the oval 6, which is the equivalent of 71 USD, almost twice the price it is sold for in the You.S.!

So I have decided I would like to order a few things from Sephora, but I am unsure whether I should get the KVD shade and light, or the monarch. I already have the Naked 2, MAC x9 Amber, and a few other single shadows. I am pale, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Which would you recommend for me? And do you have any other suggestions for things I should buy from Sephora?
Thanks everyone!

Beautylish ships to New Zealand! Many of the products available at sephora are on beautylish as well. I reccommend the KVD eye contour palette! tori Sterling did a look with it in her YT channel and it looks great with her blue eyes!

I 100% recommend the KVD shade & light eye palette! the colors are beautiful, so pigmented & buttery, & easy to blend 😊 you can create countless looks because they're all matte & you can incorporate the palette with other palettes!

Ramsha A, yes I love shopping with Beautylish! I have brought a few things from here ;-) haha. Thank you, I will check out that video!

Cady V, I have heard a lot about the quality of the eye shadows, and the swatches I have seen look great. And yes, I think I am leaning towards the Shade and Light because of the fact that I can use it with my other palettes, thank you so much for your reply!

I just bought Monarch and I'm in love. Of course, you can never have enough neutrals, but I feel like Shade + Light is kind of boring for me...I'd have to pair it with other shadows and that's not what I was looking for. I'm very happy with my purchase of the Monarch palette. The shadow quality is excellent and I can see myself using this palette quite a bit. :)

Jamie, I have to agree with you, I find the colours in the Shade and Light not as exciting as the Monarch palette. Thank you for the review of the Monarch palette!

Thank you Jacqueline! I think I will go with the Monarch, it was my first choice. I have fallen in love with using copper/Amber warm toned colours with my blue eyes, so I think this palette would be a great addition to my collection.

I had the same debate! I'm going to go with monarch. The shade and light is all matte version of monarch to me. It can be a great basic palette or for work makeup but if you want a little more jazz then monarch is the way to go

The shade and light in my opinion is a little dull (even though I love the neutrals) the monarch pallet allows you to kind of spice it up a bit the colors are beautiful.

It depends on the colors you want!
I love KVD shadows but I don't like the colors in the monarch palette.
I have the shade light eye palette and it is so beautiful.
It isn't "dull" one bit.
I love that they all have matte finishes as well.

Thank you everyone for your replies! It's such a hard decision, I think I might go with the Monarch (for now) since I prefer the warmer colours. Thanks again!
