Sounds like you could have an allergy to something in the earrings - I have it as well and can only wear pure gold or pure silver or my ears get likes that as well! I would go see a doctore to figure out if it is allergies and if it what it is your allergict to.

In the mean time I would buy a pair of pure silver earings and clean your ear very well and see if it gets better!

If there hook earring, you could replace the hooks for silver or another metal type that your ears wouldn't be so sensitive to. I have sensitive ears as well and I've coated my earrings with clear nail polish, which helped with my sensitive problem. I've also heard of using liquid bandaid to kind of make a barrier between your ear and the metal/earring.

This happens to me as well. I have to wear Stirling silver or my ears get infected. I wipe my ears down with some diluted tea tree oil until the infection clears up. if you can I would put some Stirling silver earings in.

It sounds like you may have a nickel allergy, it's quite common! Keep it clean an earring free for a while. You can go to your local craft store to buy some nickel-free earring posts & hooks, it's not too difficult to switch out the hooks on your existing earrings.

I agree, it seems like an allergic reaction to the earring which is very common. Definitely clean out the area, & don't put any earrings in at all for a little bit and switch to sterling silver or gold earrings. If you wish to continue to wear those specific earrings switch out the parts, you can purchase them at some jewelry and craft stores. I've never tried the liquid bandage idea but I've heard of it so just be warned it may not work.

Ah it seems as though I do have sensitive ears.. I'll try that clear nail polish trick after my ear feels better. I have sterling silver/ gold so I might wear those instead for awhile. Thank you all (:

The same thing happens to me when I wear fake jewelry. That just means nothing less than the best for you! 💕

My sister has the same allergy so she can't wear fake jewelry. only gold and silver. Claire's ear care serum they give you when you get your ears pierced helped her ears heal. I'm sure you can purchase it with out getting them pierced.

I've actually had this happening in my science class at school I had a reaction to a gold earring like my ear was turning purple and red and really hurt, just take it out and I'd clean it out if you have the earring cleaner they give you when you get them pierced or maybe a little diluted peroxide and just clean it out a little and let it be for a day or so with no earrings in:) just a suggestion:) good luck:)

Also try hypoallergenic earrings:) maybe those will help as well.
