Hi ladies!! Eyeshadow help please.

So ever since I was 10 years old I've been obsessed with makeup, but I've always had a problem!! And that problem is eyeshadow!! I'm an expert at everything else on the face except eyeshadow!! Even just the casual gold and brown eyeshadow, so what I'm asking you is if you could help me, maybe show photos or explain through words?? Video Tutorials for me don't work to well. Thank you!!
