What is the best way to apply mascara on others? I don't feel that I am getting the oompf I want when I apply mascara on others. I usually use L'oreal voluminous which I really like. any tips? thanks!!

I've seen my daughter use a powder puff that has strap across it so she can put her fingers thru it and use it as sort of a stand for her hand so she doesn't mess up the face when applying anything to the eye area. She asks the client to look up so she can get the full line of lashes and apply mascara. I'll have to ask her just to be sure on her techinque...the kid works so fast that my eyes get lost just watching.lol.

I texted her...she said gently pulling up the brow bone and asking the client to look up is her fave method. And afterwards she fills in brows.

My tip is have the person look directly at your chest area not looking up because it will make them blink often but if they look straight ahead towards your chest then the eyes relax and you can apply mascara with a quickness. I also use a beauty puff on the face but not always :)

I was successful using the method Alma described! but Shelley's daughter's method might work out better for other people! ask them if it bothers them, maybe practice on a few friends who don't mind!

I agree with alma, but I lift closer to the lid area tapping the excess product from the wand into the root of the lash so that I get a full coat from roots to tips.
