Right now I had medium brown VERY brassy hair which I hate. I want to go to a medium cool brown. Which drug store buys do you recommend? No time to get into a stylist unfortunately! And my hair is super damaged (waiting to get it cut) , so should I use semi or perm dye?

If your hair is super damaged I wouldn't dye it.

I agree with Justine, it will do more harm than good. For now just take care of your hair, put a treatment or two through and nourish it.

Don't dye it. if you really want to, the only way I would is to get it cut before hand and then go to a salon and dye it. never use box dyes.

You could always just go to a salon and get it toned to take away the brassiness. It should leave an ash or at least neutral brown.
