How To Go From Red Hair Back To Brown??

I amm sooooo tired of my red hair already. I can't even enjoy my summer because I'm scared to have my hair stain everything! I can't even leave it down cuz it bleeds :/..how can I go back to brown without having to spend hundreds of dollars at the salon??

Thank you! I love my red hair too but I've had it for almost a year and my vacation to florida made me hate it! lol my bathing suits got stained and I barely left my hair down cuz I was afraid that it was going to ruin all of my new clothes. I'm going to go to the store to see what they have. I don't want like a really dark dark brown

Or should I do like a burgundy color? will that bleed as much as red?

When I had ariel's red hair and got bored of it I used Ion semi permanent dark brown hair dye with volume 10 peroxide to deposit color, a few days after I dyed it with ion dark brown permanent dye with 20 vol. peroxide and I added half of the bottle of Colorful protein color filler in warm brown. I never saw any red again.
