I've had a Jennifer Lawrence style pixie cut for a month now and I'm thinking about getting highlights done when I next get it cut.
If any of you have had any experiences with short hair and highlights what sort did you get? Full head/ Half/ t-section? Etc...
The salon I go to is really good so I know they'll steer me in the right direction when I go in but I just wanted to hear about your experiences?

I like doing soft freehand highlights when I have short hair, a good trick is to lighten after you do a wide zigzag part on your hair. I'm personally not a huge fan of very "even" looking highlights :) I don't know if this is what you meant.
Also, if you bring in a picture of what you want it's harder for them to get it wrong and it'll save you (and them) time. Go in with an idea and listen to what they suggest.
What did you have in mind? :)

I was thinking freehand too!
I just want something to bring out the texture in my hair really. I've got auburn hair naturally (undyed) and since I've had it cut I keep thinking I want a bit more dimension to it. I'm thinking something slightly lighter through it, like a strawberry blonde or a caramel.
