I have used it and the color turn out was beautiful, but my hair felt really damaged afterwards. The color didn't fade but I couldn't stand my hair feeling gross and stringy almost so I did too many hair masks to count and then I dyed my hair black.

My hair is fine now :) The color was so nice but I didn't want to deal with my hair feeling weird.

The L'oreal hicolor has a type of lightener in it, it's not bleach but it's meant to lighten the hair a tad in order to get your hair tithe right level. It is quite effective.
You really have to be sure to get a protein treatment for afterward I like the Aphogee 2 step treatment.
It could get you to the color you want just expect it to be around a shade of two darker cause you don't know exactly how well it'll work for your hair exactly.

The other color, isn't really made for dark hair you'd have to bleach and then use that color.
When I first bleached my hair I used that brand to go a shade lighter and more neutral but it didn't do anything for me

You're welcome :) and yes it may cause some dryness. I would use the high light color on my moms roots. I think we use a level 6 and it does get her to the right shade, we all have very dark hair and used a 30 developer but I've heard of some people using a 40 developer and getting closer to the color of the swatch.
Although they did get quite dry hair.
It does work well you just have to use protein treatments and moisture ones and your hair will get back to good condition.

That could possibly work but the shade probably won't be as vivid as you'd want it. I've seen some girls use a light ash hair color and get to a light goldish brown I'm sure with that you could go over with the plum color just be sure to tone the golden color before using the plum because the golden tone can result in the color not looking the way you want it

Peronally, when I used tgis, I used the shade red and it lifted my bear blacl hair to a BRIGHT red! It lifted my hair like 3-4 shades lighter, not kidding. It also didn't damage my hair at all. I've had red hair many times and thos was my GO-TO! it is my favorite. I always used 30dvl.

And I didn't have to bleach.

Probably not, just don't lesve it on too long. It all boils down to time management, I was able to achieve a darker red as well as a bright red, just depends on how long you leave it.
