I feel like whenever I prime my eyes, the eyeshadow doesn't blend smoothly. Do you have the same problem?
Also, what's your favorite blending brush?

I use Urban Decay Primer Potion in Enigma. Also, are you laying down a base shadow all over the lid first, from lashline to brow after the primer but before you start applying your colored shadow?

Do you set the eye primer with a powder? (A shadow close to your skin color)? Doing this can really help when it comes to blending the shadows. And 3 good blending brushes are Mac 217 and 224, and sigma e40.

It happens with me too, plus, when I apply eye primer my kids just become grey I don't know why! So I decided to apply it without primer and I find it much better and flawless. I guess you could try urban decay eye primer.

Yes you have to set the primer with a shadow similar to your skin tone first. My favorite blending brush is IT cosmetics brush 105 blending brush. It's super soft and blends like magic lol.

What primer are you currently using? I don't set mine, and I don't have issues with blending. I happen to use the Urban Decay Primer Potion at the moment, but I also really enjoy the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I'd also like to throw it out there that maybe you need a better blending brush, or possibly it's an issue with the eyeshadow you happen to be using? =)

I prefer urban decay eye primer, but I actually like using the smashbox photo finish primer on my eyelids too. Even though it is only meant for the face, it works just as good on the eyes. It's clear and prevents my lids from getting too oily and stops the eye shadow from creasing.

Are you letting it dry all the way before applying eyeshadow? I put on my eye primer after face makeup so it has time to dry while I do powder and blush, etc.

Make sure you're not overapplying, a thin layer is all you need. And let it dry before adding eyeshadow! xx

It is normal, the primer is supposed to be designed to hold eyeshadows jn its place, that is why it is difficult to blend. option 1 is to apply a "base eyeshadows" before your colors, that will ease blending. Option 2 is to buil up colors, instead of applying a huge amount of color the first time take a little little bit with your brush and apply it with soft and subtle movements, build up until you get the desired look
