Curly hair cut help?

Hey ladies! So I'm doing something scary to my head on Thursday and I need help/reassurance lol. So my hair type is the hair of two people basically, curly in the front, and very loose waves in the back. It's probably 5-6 inches below my shoulders. It's extremely damaged, so I'm chopping most of it off. Now I've had short hair before, including a pixie, but I've always styled it straight when short. I've been mostly wearing my hair curly for the past few months, and want to keep wearing it curly when short, but because I've never seen myself in short curly hair, I'm a little nervous. It also doesn't help that I can't for the life of me find any photos of short curls that are even close to my hair type. SO. Sorry, this is my long winded way of asking if you ladies think either of these cuts would suit me? Is one better than the other? Or do you have any suggestions? I would love any and all feedback! I'll include a picture of my current hair first, followed by the two cuts I'm considering. I'm leaning towards the first one, but I may be off my rocker haha.

I think number 1. Number 2 is cute but I feel like it could get very bowl cut-y pretty quickly if it grows out or doesn't curl exactly the same everyday. Number one I think would look good with all types of curls, but especially if you have looser curls in the back it'll make it look like you curled the front and look very put together naturally. I don't think the second one will do the same

I think you're right about the second cut, Alyx. I hadn't really considered the shape of the second cut on the days my curls don't behave. Number one it is! Oh god I hope it works out!
