Anyone try this bronzer?

I'm thinking about getting this. I've seen as few reviews and the only negative I'm hearing is that the product is hard to pick up with a brush. It gives a sheer veil of color (not very pigmented). But this is the nature of this product. This product has a unique gel-powder texture. Its
actually marketed as "all the color but none of the powder' (I'm para-phrasing) They recommend you buy the brush that goes with it to get optimal results. From the reviews I've seen, everyone says they don't feel it on their skin and it leaves no texture on the skin. All this sounds perfect for what I'm looking for. Any reviews here?

If it's the same one I saw in store last week, the color picked up well on my finger and one of the sephora ladies went "here I'll show you a more accurate look" because I made a "holy this would turn me orange" face lol. And she used a brush and swept it on my hand and it was really pretty. I don't use bronzer enough to want it, but the sign with the description made me curious about it. It impressed me. But I didn't try it on my face or buy it so it's not a very good review.

Alyx, do you remember which shade they you tried?

I'm thinking about choosing 15I , because it looks like it has a red undertone.

I don't remember unfortunately, it was just one of the tester ones at sephora, they only had one out the rest were in boxes. But I really don't use bronzer, I'm super pale so it looks really fake and no matter what shade it always turns me orange. But I think any of them could look good, depending on how much you apply, they are very similar other than the depth of the color. I agree with Hailey though, if you have a yellow undertone than 20m would compliment it nicely and you wouldn't get a muddy look. But you could always go lighter and build up the color on your face. I find with any face product it's better to go with lighter and build up in layers than to go darker and try to get only a tiny amount of product at a time

Alyx, I was originally drawn to 20, but I have a similar shade from Too-Faced, which I'm not crazy about. Its too close to my skintone & I think made me look too-yellow. I don't want to be a darker yellow tone. I'm trying to achieve a "sun kissed look'. I don't want look necessarily "darker". I like the look of a slight tan (brownish) with a little bit of a sunburn which I think a red undertone will give me. Esp, since this is a sheer, texture-less product.

I think 15 would work fine, you'd just have to make sure not to overdo it to the point where you look orange. But it's not super red like 35 is, so I think it'd look good :)

Alyx, EXACTLY! Not going too heavy is "key". Honestly, I'd rather work with the correct tone & be careful than getting a too light color & building up. I'm trying to avoid a heavy, thick layered look, which usually happens when trying to build up a too light color. It usually ends up looking thick & powdery. Kinda like Nars Exhibit A blush.

I don't know this product specifically, so I can't wait to hear of your experience. All I know is I've hardly experienced a MUFE product that I didn't like.

I'll touch base.

I got it! After numerous swatching in I narrowed it down to two of the least orange. #20 & #30. I was really struggling because #30 is the 2nd to the darkest & I never get really dark bronzers. But I already had bronzer & blush on so I just tried them on my forehead. #20 made so subtle a difference (I'm guessing because of the sheer gel-like texture) it was even worth the effort. So I went with #30. I also bought the brush that goes with it (there was only one left). But when I got it home, I realized I already have a similar one (the Too-Faced Retractable travel Kabuki ). The Makeup Forever kabuki is slightly bigger and angled. I don't know if I'm going to return it or not. It is nice that it matches the compacr though. BUT... while I was there, I took a look at some highlighters. I looked at the Makeup Forever Pro Sculpting duo. Which has NOT been getting good reviews because of the contour shades being too warm to contour with, but HAS been getting GREAT raves on the highlighter portion. They were ok, definitely not worth purchasing just for the highlighters. I revisited CHAMPAGNE POP. Didn't get it. Love my OPAL way better.  Contd.

But I did run across the new Bobbi Brown Highlighters called STROBING SIMPLIED. There is a pink one & a bronze one. I usually don't buy pink tones. I usually go for champagne or golden (or whatever shade my beloved OPAL is). But in this case the bronze was just too dark for my medium toned skin. Now let me tell you, this pink highlighter blew CHAMPAGNE POP out of the water! So shimmery but not glittery due to its creamy finely milled texture that it had a "wet" look to it. Someone here once asked what products they were dying to get there hands on. And I said none, although I was curious about the BB highlighter. Well, now I have it!

Marleen that's awesome :) let us know how you like it after using it a couple times!

But as far as the highlighters, I use nars copacabana. It's a liquidy cream formula and really pretty. It gives a nice shimmer without glitter but super pigmented. It's pink based as well, so you should take a look at it too. I thought it'd be too pink but I had the josie maran illuminator but it was too orange for my liking so I returned it and the sephora employee was like "I know it looks daunting but it's SUPER pretty on almost all skin tones" and man was he right lol.

The verdict is in! This is definitely a keeper. I was really apprehensive on getting the 2nd darkest one, but I'm glad I did. This bronzer really lives up to the claim of being "textureless". But even though I got the one with the most red in it, it still didn't look red on my skin. I just looked like I had a little tan with a slight glow. It almost seems like the red undertone offsets any oxidation that can cause a bronzer to turn orange. I'm also guessing the glow part is due to the slight sheen this bronzer has. Not shimmer, just not matte. Your skin looks like skin & not like you have a dulling, matte powder on. I added a tiny bit of Nars Exhibit A on the tops of my cheekbones & across my nose like a real sunburn.
