Hey guys! so a few months ago I did a sorta ombre hair from a medium/dark brown at my roots to a blonde! I have recently been thinking and I really want to dye all of my hair blonde, I bought "Nordic" blonde hair dye that claims to turn brown hair to blonde! I don't really believe this but I read the ingredients and it does contain peroxide so it is possible but I'm not quite sure, I was wondering if anybody has tried it out with brown hair and what results they got from it! thankyouuuu girls! x
I have attached a photo of my hair below so you can get an idea of how brown my roots are and how light the tips are

Is it the shwartzopft one in the blue box? I've used that a few times to lighten my hair and in my opinion it worked pretty well, I used it on dark brown hair and it lifted to the blonde shade you currently have or somewhere similar. :)

So short answer - yes - it will lighten it. The peroxide is like bleach. But it can easily go wrong. Box dyes are "one size fits all" type deal. So if you have very thin easy to lighten hair, it can lighten it but it'll likely be too strong and leave your hair very very damaged, or if you have thick, hard to bleach hair, it may not be able to lift enough, and leave you with nothing you wanted, since leaving it on more than the directed time can cause extra damage, and scalp burns/sensitivity. I wouldn't risk it since 9/10 times it's likely to go wrong, and leave you with more damage and costing more than a trip to the salon would. Especially since you have two tonal hair, if any of it overlaps the already lightened areas, it will create a line, and might really damage that area, and depending on the state of your hair, possibly break off, since it's already been lightened.

I agree with Alyx. I personally wouldn't risk it. A trip to the salon is going to be so much better.
