I recently tried this foundation and it was terrible...I've heard such great things about it for people with oily skin and from hearing those compliments I am afraid I didn't do something right to achieve the beautiful look I have seen. any suggestions on what will help?

I personally never tried that foundation. But some products work on some people and some don't. I would maybe try moisturizing before applying and or also use a primer.

I tried it on my friend, and in my opinion.. The formula is really nice and the finish is matt I would say BUT I dislike most of the shades (I don't know about your drugstore) but my local one has only shades with orange tint to it? Don't like it.. There are better foundations than this

Maybe the foundation just doesn't work with your method of application, primer or moisturiser. It works best on me without a primer and with the real techniques buffing brush.

I love that foundation.

When I apply it I've made sure I've cleansed and prepped my face really good. That foundation can be too drying sometimes.

I either use hourglass veil primer of mufe hydrating primer. I first apply all over my face as if it was moisturizer and then grab my real technique powder brush and blend it thoroughly with that. I don't wear makeup everyday so I don't use too much of it.

I used my clean & clear moisturizer, don't use a primer bc I haven't found one that works for me :( then I apply a green primer to my face to cancel out the redness. I use a real techniques buffer brush then a damp sponge
