Okay so I'm finally going red. But I'm currently blonde, with about 1" roots of brown. Do you think I should color my roots blonde first? Or just go straight in with my red color? (Currently I'm a "9G" and going a "8RG")

I'd maybe bleach the roots first so your hair is all the same shade of red.

Oh okay, well how much darker is your roots than the blonde you have? I think that bleaching the roots would help if you are going with a really bright vibrant red, but if you are going with a darker burgundy type red then I think leaving the roots would probably be okay.

My roots are about a light brown (maybe a level 6 if you know the level system) and my hair is a light golden blonde (a level 9) and the color I'm going is a strawberry blondish color (8RG)

I'd definitely do your roots first. The color will be more all over even and you won't have to bleach over red once you decide to do them.
