What I would wear is those dresses that are short in the front and long in the back! These are very in style and also your wearing short and long in one dress so you'll fit in wether all your friends wear short or long dresses.

Just go for something simple, in your favorite colour, but with something unique. It could be a unique fabric, hemline, accent, neckline, etc. the unique thing could even be your makeup or hair.

Pick a dress color that will bring out your medium skin color and wear a dress you feel you look perfect in try a few on see which styles you like and if you don't like the dress but you like the style look for that particular style its not about what's "in" its about what you like if you get what's in youll be getting what everyone else is getting and then you won't stand out and you want to stand out at prom right? so choose what you love and don't go for the dress you kinda love but you feel like there's another dress out there for you still get that dress have fun, I didnt go to my prom
