I have really thin hair and want a messy bun... any ideas?

Put your hair up to a pony tail. Then teeze the "tail". After, just make it into a bun like ummm a 'donut'. Hold it with a hair tie and spread out hairs a little to make it as messy as you want. You can also hold with bobby pins. 😊
This is usually what I do. Hope it helps. :)

I second Iris's suggestion about teasing the tail of your pony. My hair is stick straight and very, very fine. This is the only way I can get a voluminous, messy bun. I use a teasing brush very lightly, just enough to fluff it up.

This website has 3 different buns to do, and the 3rd one is my favourite messy bun of all time. Also YouTube Michelle money messy bun hers is pretty straight forward and looks really good! I have really thin hair to Hannah just use a fishtail comb and tease the ends the best way to tease is by holding the hair tight but loose at the same time x

I have fine hair which is a hassle but I use bumble & bumble salt spray when I want to put it up and it helps texturize and create more oomph :P.

I have thick wavy hair. I juat pull all of it on top of my head in a bun shape and then wrap my hairband around it.

Ugh. Don't tease. Especially fine hair is prone to being super-damaged by it.
I have long enough hair to do this, but when I want a bun, I literally tie my whole hair in a loose knot (like tying a knot in a string). I don't pull the tail all the way through. I stop about halfway and then pin down that loop. Boom. Messy bun, 2 bobby pins. If I do it carefully on brushed out hair, it can look very structured and intricate, but for messiness I just roll with whatever texture I crawled out of bed with.

I just put my hair in a ponytail, high or low and then I wrap the hair around the elastic. I secure it with another elastic and sometimes some bobby pins :)

Flip your hair down then grab it close to the tips but enough to make a bun. So youll achieve that baggy bottom
