I'm a girl on a budget and saving up for a Caboodles train case to hold my makeup, nailpolishes, and hair accessories for when I head off to college in August.

I really need a nice matte bronzer that I will use to contour every now and then or for a nice glow in the summer time.

I will probably get around $80 ish in my next paycheck. Do you think I should invest in a Too Faced bronzer, a Tarte bronzer, or not splurge and just buy the NYC Sunny bronzer? I heard great reviews about all three and don't know if a bronzer is worth the $30 splurge especially if I need to slowly set aside like $50 for a case.

What should I do?

I've not tried the Too Faced bronzer, so I'm not much help there, but I do own both Tarte's Park Avenue Princess and NYC's Sunny and I think you'd be better off with Sunny for what you plan on using it for. Park Ave isn't matte, so while it's nice to use all over for a pretty glow, you won't be able to contour with it. Sunny is totally matte and I think it's more versatile. And that price disparity is huge, which is so important to consider when you're on a budget. However, neither Park Ave nor Sunny will show up very will if you have medium-dark skin, so depending on how your skin tone may fluctuate with sun exposure, it may be a better idea to just get a matte face powder in a shade or two darker than what you wear and use that to contour with. Also, NYX has some excellent powder blushes that can be great contour colors as well, and they run about $4-6 (depending on where you get them). So there's another option for you. Best of luck deciding!

Courtney beat me. I was going to say that maybe getting a deeper shade of face powder would be a good idea. That is how my sister bronzes.

I love my too faced chocolate solei but if ur on a budget u can use any face powder that's 2-3 shades darker than ur complexion as a bronzer ;)

Courtney: thank you so much!! I'm a fair-medium Asian skintone so I think I'll try Sunny. I'm so happy you said Park Ave wasn't matte because I thought it was and would have ordered it online D: !!!

Judy: I haven't heard of that. is it a shimmer or a matte bronzer? :)

Marcy: thanks! my friend told me that too but powders are just as expensive so I was debating if I should look for them. what product does your sister like?

Osiris&Alexa: thank you so much!!! I'll definitely keep that in mind before I buy a bronzer
