Holy Grail Primer!

First, let me say, I have oily eyelids. What that means is, my lids produce more oil than the average bear woman, so in addition to being prone to Styes, my eyeshadow creases no matter what I do. At least, that's what I thought until I tried Too Face Shadow Insurance.

I have tried NYX's eyeshadow primer, concealer, setting with powders, MAC Paint Pots and Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer and, at best, I got an extra hour or two before creasing. I just assumed I was always going to get creasing, but I had heard that Too Faced Shadow Insurance was great for those with oily eyelids, so I figured I would take the leap... and I am so glad I did!

Too Faced Shadow Insurance's formula is thin, spreads very easily (so please remember a little goes a long way) and dries almost instantly. The product is a flesh-toned color and, though it claims to provide full-coverage, I don't find it conceals the veining on my lid at all. That being said, I haven't found it has been a problem. My eyeshadows still show up as nicely as they would before, but I wouldn't say they've been "intensified", as Too Faced claimed.

What I can say, is that Too Faced Shadow Insurance does a superb job of keeping my eyeshadow in place and I am thrilled to report I haven't had any creasing since using this product - even after 10+ hours! Being able to make this claim is momentous for me as I really did think I would be doomed to creased eyeshadow for the rest of the my life. Now, I don't have to worry about that!

My eyeshadows apply and blend just as easily as before, but they stay true throughout the day and don't crease. Considering how little you need to use, the tube should last you quite a long time, making this Primer an incredible value! I highly, highly recommend this eye primer to anyone who has oily eyelids and especially to those who have found other primers have fell short!

my favorite primer EVER!!!

this stuff is amazing!!! it makes my eyeshadow last all night and all day. i go to all night raves/dance clubs and when i roll in at 6 am my makeup is stll all there!!! its amazing :D its dose tend to last you forever but when your tube gets older the oil and product seen to seperate a bit but its really not that big of a deal because the product works njust the same

In my opinion, this is better than Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I like that it comes in a needle nose squeeze tube (Although I've noticed that UD has came out with one) and the formula is too thick. A little really goes a long way. Keeps my eyelids matte and my shadows vibrant and crease-free.

Not sure how I lived without it!

This is the best primer I have ever used personally. It has staying power, never creases and holds up to my oily eyelids. Cannot live without it! My little tube has lasted over 2 years cause a little goes a long way. If you've never used primer before I'd highly recommend this one!

This is my holy grail eye shadow primer. It always works with my oily lids. I love the container that it comes in, as it's easy to dispense the proper amount. One tube lasts me for a year or more, which is impressive considering that I wear eye shadow every day. Colors are true to hue with this primer.

My Favorite Primer!

I first purchased the MAC eye primer, which did not impress me at all and creased every time I used it no matter what! :( I heard a lot about Urban Decay Primer Potion and Two Faced Shadow Insurance, but I just decided to go with this one because they were about the same price and I heard they worked the same. I've been using this everyday for about three months and it is THE BEST! I have very oily lids, but it NEVER creases and makes every color look beautiful. I haven't tried UDPP, but I'm sure it's good too. I plan on sticking with this primer, and I definitely recommend it! :)

I choose this over the Urban Decay everyday!

It makes your eye shadows stick! This products doesn't really even out the skin tone too much, but it reduces the appearence of redness and veins, slightly. I've tried the Urban Decay Primer Potion (the original) and I chose this over it any day because my eye shadow does not crease when I have this applied! I was cursed with hooded, oily eyelids and this is the only thing that prevents my eye shadow from slipping off my face. Brilliant product. It will always be in my makeup bag! Xx

I've been using this primer for so many years and I still love it. It applies smoothly and blends out so it doesn't take away from whatever shadow is being applied. The only problem I have it that I've been noticing that it does not last all day like it used to. I usually put my make up on at 5 in the morning and by 2:30 I can see the shadow starting to crease. I still love this product and will continue to use. I just hope they figure out a way to make it last longer but it makes shadows stand out beautifully.

Works well, but not perfect.

I have been using this product for years. I love how it enhances the eyeshadows you use on top of it, but its frustrating how difficult it is to clean up smudged eyeshadow without an eye makeup remover. Though this product does exactly what it says its going to do, for some reason my eyeshadow still manages to crease in the inner corner by the end of the day. I have tried virtually everything to prevent this from happening so now I just continue to be frustrated with it. Its still an amazing product nonetheless
