I realized this facepaint for a contest on YouTube based on Angels and Demons... Oni are not really like demons (more like ogre) but I decide to do an inspired facepaint on this folkloristic japanese character anyway because of they're double nature... in the beginning the were considered good spirits that sometimes help people, but more recently they transformed into evil creatures that caused disasters, diseases, and other unpleasant things. To me, this transition reminds of the story of the fallen angels...good first and bad at the end. So maybe the concept it's not too far. www.pureblacklove.com

Because PureBlackLove it's not only red ;) This is the second color entry for my first make up collaboration with other 3 YouTubers (20012000leo, MayrasMakeup, TheKillerBurrito) and the main inspiration was the video of the song "My Color" by 2pm (a korean kpop band). We choose the colors we use less in the everyday life and decided to recreate a look only with this color! Infact, as you can see, I'm the yellow, a totally stranger color for me! I did this hair and makeup for a recent shoot for Lookbook. I went ALL black for this one. Black eyes, lips, eyebrows, and extensions. I excluded using a blush for this look also, to heighten the contrast with my pale skin. I used blue contacts to help my eyes stand out as my eyes are naturally quite a grey blue and they can get lost sometimes when I wear very black eyes makeup. This is one of my rhinestone 'Glitterface' looks. It takes ages, but it's worth it, especially for on stage. I prepare my forehead with a bass of silver shimmer so the space in between each rhinestone still has a bit of sparkle and then apply the rhinestones one by one using the eyelash glue from my lashes.

I wore this look on stage in Belfast recently gigging with Nanu Nanu. I applied each rhinestone individually using standard latex eyelash glue. The lips were done with my GOSH Extreme Art Liner (supposed to be used on eyes, but I experimented a bit outside the box for this one) and for the eyes I used my trusty Maybelline Gel Liner in Blackest Black. I am also wearing pale blue contact lenses which are UV receptive but you can't see that effect in this photo.. I am yet to work out how to photograph that because it needs to be so dark for it to work! GFx
