Holds a curl
This was my first ever eye lash curler and yes it curls my eyelashes! I have to fiddle about with it a bit to get my outer corner lashes inside it, but that just be my lashes.]
Although my experience is limited in this field.
I can't imagine my life without this...
I don't know how I can sum it up in a few words without repeating "awesome, amazing, incredible" throughout the entire thing. It works SUPERBLY on any eye shape to curl your lashes. It doesn't require a whole lot of pressure to get your perfect curl. All of my friends are shocked that they've had such good results with this curler compared to their little Revlon ones.
If you're willing to make an investment for your appearance, pick the Shu.
One and only
The BEST eyelash curler every! Works on any eye shape. So easy to curl those super short and straight asian lashes (like my own)... Mine lasted for a year (used it everyday and never had to change the rubber pad).
Chanced by a DUO PACK at the Hong Kong airport duty free, soooooo cheap! HK$235 (approx 28AUD/ 30USD)
The only curler worth using
The title of my review says it all. As far as I'm concerned, no other eyelash curler can hold a candle to this one. If I could no longer use the Shu Uemura curler, I wouldn't bother using one at all. Truth.
I actually like this curler. I dont have to clamp down hard to get my lashes to curl and I have stick straight lashes. Although, I wish the head was a tiny bit wider, my eyes are just slightly on the larger end of the normal eye shape scale. Unfortunately, it is not sold at Sephora anymore so I dont think I will repurchase this. If you have normal-smaller eyes, this is perfect for you.
This is so worth the money. You will throw all others away! I had used many other name brands before but as soon as I received this I found it works so well. I normally press and hold, then wait 3 seconds..then back again. Love!
Lives up to the hype!
Most definitely the best eyelash curler I have ever used. The price is a bit out there for just an eyelash curler ($AUD40) but the transformation of straight, downward lashes to curly ones is worth it.
The Shu Uemura eyelash curler is so easy to clean, and use PLUS the package contains an extra curling pad!
Best thing ever to exist.
This is literally the ONLY eyelash curler I will ever ever use in my life. It's just so perfect. It gives my stumpy, "goes-straight-down" eyelashes an amazing lift. It just curls them so they look naturally curled but better, and AH, so perfect! I've even had about 5 friends hooked on to it!
I absolutely love this curler and I refuse to use any other brand. I helps me keep my super straight lashes curled and gets every single one of them. Couldn't ask for anything more!!
Good but I think it's over-rated
When I first got this I had a HORRIBLE experience. I don't know how or why but the first time I used it it CUT my eyelashes really bad. I was soo mad and I couldn't figure out how it happened but I was very scared to use it again. My eyelashes took FOREVER to grow back out...I'm talking months with barely any lashes on my right eye. I was determined to return it but I ended up keeping it and not using it for months. Now it's my everyday curler and it works good...haven't had any problems with it since I started using it again. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. It curls your eyelashes (just like most drugstore curlers do). You lashes will go down again throughout the day (the usual). For the money I would say it's better to go with something cheaper (Revlon?). It's just a well known brand.
