Best drugstore foundation for oily skin...hands down...
I have reallyyyyyy oily skin and this foundation does wonders for me. I even prefer it to many high end foundations. It photographs well doesn't feel too heavy.
This foundation has medium to full coverage, amazing staying power that could last for 8hours or so, it does not feel heavy on skin, it blends easily on my skin, it stays in place the whole day without any transfer and it is so affordable. But I dislike the smell and it can be messy to apply for it does not have a pump. Nonetheless, for its price and quality, it is one of the best drugstore foundation ever.
Pleasantly surprised!
I must confess... I am a bit of a makeup snob. You would never catch me dead purchasing drugstore makeup... that is, until recently, upon moving out on my own and being forced onto a spending diet.
I ran out of my usual bare minerals foundation, and with winter among us I wanted to switch to a liquid anyway. I reviewed this product over and over again and decided to give it a try... I must say, I'm impressed! I blend it with my beauty blender and the coverage is about medium, (If you have any blemishes you may need to conceal them) and then I set it with sephora's setting powder to prevent any funny oxidizing. It keeps my face nice and matte (but not flat!) all day, and does not leave me feeling cakey or flakey. My only complaint is a get wiffs here and there of the smell. Which isn't bad by any means, I would just rather my face not smell like secrets when my boyfriend leans in to kiss me! ;)
Hope this helps all you beauty snobs like myself to save a couple of bucks!
After reading so many positive reviews about this foundation I decided to finally try it since an affordable foundation would be amazing. I used it for a month but unfortunately it broke my face out completely. :(
AMAZING!
I wish I would have tried this product while I was in High school. I have oily skin, and this does wonders! Before using this foundation, I had to blot my face literally every hour. This is my holy grail foundation.
+:
-long lasting
-keeps my face matte
-:
-oxidizes
-dries really quick (can be hard to blend)
tips:
-use a flat top kabuki (ELF powder brush or sigmaF80) to apply for even, blended look
-instead of dotting foundation on your face before blending, do it all at once before the foundation dries.
love this foundation it works so well and covers any redness wonderfully and its creamy and stays on all day. its great for oily combination skin and the coverage is medium-full depending on your application. and it blends smoothly!

I used to love this foundation. It made my skin look absolutely FLAWLESS! But lately when I have been using it, it just makes my face look cakey and pretty gross looking honestly. Its not even that old, only about 2 weeks. I am thinking of just repurchasing a new bottle of it to see if maybe it was just that one.
I wasn't really a fan of this product until I learned how to best apply it to my skin. For me, using a damp sponge works for fast and easy application without looking "dead face." I also like to use the e.l.f. flat top brush to quickly get the job done. It does have a paint smell to it which my husband says, "your face smells like a crayon." (I don't think it's that bad) Overall, this product gives medium to full coverage, has a variety of colors, and can withstand humid climates. Bummer: it doesn't have a pump...so start off with a little and apply more if needed. Try it! If you hate it..return it.
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
I absolutely love love love this foundation. I have acne prone skin and this does such a good job at covering my acne and scars. It does dry quick, but it has a nice full coverage and a matte finish. I love this product so much. I love how matte it is to the skin leaving you looking flawless. It has a normal to dry one and a oily to combination one so its really convienent for different skin types as well. It does have a good color range and little expensive depending where you buy it from or where you are from. But you guys should try it out its an awesome foundation.
After seeing too many great reviews on this foundation, I thought it was going to be totally amazing! But sadly, It wasn't so amazing.. It was so thick and goopy, I felt like it was suffocating my pores! And plus, I got so shiny like an hour later! It's a bummer, I really thought I was going to like it :(
