Amazing!

This is one of my go-to's! I love my lime crime red velvet, but this is a close second. it goes on so smooth and stays amazingly well. It also doesn't dry my lips out at all.

beautiful and handy lip pencil!

I love the chubby pencils because they take so much less time to apply! The Roman Holiday shade is the perfect pink for my fair skin with cool undertones, and the finish is lovely, too! The reason I left off one star is that it did dry my lips out a little the first day I wore it (although it has since been fine -- I probably just put on way too much the first day or something). I want to go back and get more shades!

Great Pigmentation!

I love all of the colors in the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils but this color stood out to me the most. Wearing dark lips has become a staple in my everyday makeup routine so I immediately fell in love when I saw this color. I love that I don't need to use a separate lip liner because this lip pencil also allows me to line my lips with precision. The color payoff is amazing.

It does last all day but the reason that I did not give it a full 5 stars was because it does start showing signs of wear in the center faster than other matte lipsticks I have tried. I can't wait to buy more colors!

I have this lip pencil in the shade Pop Life and I think it is one of the most popular shades. It´s really nice matte shade of red with a hint of orange, which is wearable day and night. It gives you nice final touch of color in the days, when you are in a hurry or just lazy to make a big eye make-up. In my opinion this is the shade of red which has to suit to everybody. The most what I like is that you don´t need to take with you a lip pencil and lipstick separately, because you have it all in one product and that makes it perfect on the go. And it last really long, even after meal or drink!

I really love this lip pencil. I have this in the shade Sex Machine (a little raunchy, I know) it's great because it's a very natural pink with a little sparkle. Lip pencils, in my opinion, are the way to go because they last longer and it doesn't dry out my lips.

Perfect and comfortable to wear

I have this pencil in the color "Never Say Never" - its a beautiful, soft rose violet that I wear to work nearly every day. The color is feminine while still being subtle and appropriate for a very conservative workplace. In general, the pencils are really amazing - even though they're a matte finish product they're not drying at all and they're extremely comfortable to wear. The color is opaque in one swipe and I also noticed that there's very little color transfer from the lips onto glasses or straws etc. As a result, these are really, really long wearing products. All around I think these pencils are some of the best lip products on the market, and I can't wait to pick up a few more!!

I received a sample of new lover and I absolutely love the consistency and the glossy look after application. I will be purchasing other colors. I really want to try out the matte. I hear nothing but great reviews!

Love the color!

It's a beautiful berry shade perfect for the fall/winter season. I love to wear this with a nude eye look to balance the whole look. All together it looks amazing! It comes on very pigmented but you must reapply throughout the day! But do beware before you apply make sure to exfoliate your lips & apply lip balm or else you'll be left with cracking & a smeared mess. Overall still a good buy.

MATTE all the way!

Ok I rarely wear lipstick because I don't like the amount of maintenance that comes with wearing it. The running, it doesn't last long, ugh so annoying. But this lip pencil is definitely a great purchase. Although it was a gift for me, I would still purchase it on my own. The matte part of it is fantastic, I don't really like glossy lip colors unless it's lip gloss. The only thing about this lip pencil is that you have to put a moisturizer on before you apply it because it's a little dry. And another great thing about it is that once you put it on, it lasts all day. If you eat while wearing it you'll just have to retouch it a little bit.

The shades are amazing!

This particular shade tones down every one of my bright colors ...it gives me a hint of depth to my sometimes overpowering lip shades. This is one of NARS best products in my opinion. It glides on and I haven't experienced any cracking or dryness. Definitely a great buy!
