Pretty good resluts, but wish there was more product!
So I got my pressed powder at walmart for about $8, not insluding tax...which I think it's a bit pricey for powder, but the more expensive the better quality, in my opinion. I am in the shade 235, medium, and I have to say, it's a pretty accurate shade to my skin tone, I could just use this without any foundation!
I used the labeler that has all of the shades, where you can determine what color shade you are by just using your wrist on the applicator....if it dissappears, that's your shade. I first swatched it with a finger on my wrist after I bought it, and it came out pretty glittery. From the store display, it looked matte, but now that I was at home and trying it out, it seemed more shimmer than ever!
Luckily the next day, I used it as a setting powder for my under eye circle concealer, and I used my elf powder brush, which in fact, gave a whole different result. It actual came out matte, with a hint of shimmer, which is pretty nice for a subtle highlight on the under eyes. I used it on my temples also. I wouldn't reccomend it as a regular daily powder, unless you want that sunkissed look all over your face. I do reccomend
using a powder brush at all times with this powder. If not, you will get a dissapointing result.
I love it!
This is one of my favorite powders. It looks very good on camera, and it basically eliminates shine and oil. I looks even on my face, and since I got a darker color than my actual skin tone, by mistake, it gives me a natural looking tan. And it doesn't look caked on. I'm in love with this product!
I opted for the Fit Me Pressed Powder after I read that the foundation counterpart slips off of combo/oily skin, which I unfortunately have. The shade I use is 320 - Honey Beige. I'm impressed by powder's oil control and medium/full coverage. My face looks matte and not too powdery/ashy. Docked off a star and half because while the design looks very nice, the compact feels big and clunky taking up half of my makeup bag. Wish the packing was more sleeker since half of the compact is empty space to hold a powder puff that is never used.
Worth trying!
If you use this in conjunction with other Maybelline cosmetics (i.e. their concealer and mousse foundations) you will achieve a flawless look. I found that using products from the same brand never fails me and this is no different. If you apply it lightly streaks won't be obvious and it is quite light on the skin. I definitely recommend it!
Can do without the sparkles.
I love how this feels on my face but can do without the sparkles in it. I didn't realize it in the house but once I got in natural sunlight, BAM glittery face. They need to come out with a matte version.
hmmm.
At first i was a little iffy about it and then I said, hey I might as well try it and so i did.
It does what it's suppose to do and it blends really well with my skin tone. Although are 3 options,I've successful found the on to match my skin. I doesn't break me out as much as other brands and i don't have much complaints.
A nice penny saving powder
I am a big lover of finding products that are really good for those on a budget. This is one of those products. I found this powder for $5 at Target and I use it to set my makeup. I use it mainly as a translucent finisher. It is sheer so of you do want a powder that covers more this may not be for you.
1. favorite part of my makeup
Since this is my favorite part of my makeup it gets highly rrated.
Best power i have ever used, EVER. It sets perfectly it feels heavenly on my face and goes right into my skin tone. great price and everything you'll ever need in a power fouditcan
Amazing!
I love love love this stuff.
I usually use this as a setting powder after I apply my liquid foundation and I love how this stuff doesn't cake on on top of the liquid, it gives me a great matte finish!
There is a TINY bit of shimmer in it but not enough to make you look like a big sparkle ball! The color matches me perfectly and I do have to say I love the case they put it in.
I recommend using it with a big fluffy blush brush rather than the pad they give you!
Blends well, fits skin tone, great finish!
My sister started using this, and raved about it, so I thought I would give it a try. The pigment definitely fits my skin tone, but I'm not sure that it caters to all skin tones. It gives a great finish (matte), and does not feel heavy on the skin, but it should probably be set if you want it to really stay; I find that it comes off pretty easily. For the price, it's not a bad pressed powder; I'm new to using powders, and I'm very happy with the results. My sister has been using powders longer than I have, and she is absolutely hooked, which has convinced me of it's quality. Furthermore, my sister is very fair and has had a lot of success in having it match her skin tone; often times she finds that things that are "fair" are just a shade too dark.
Overall, I would say that this pressed powder is fantastic for the price, and that if you're in the market for a new powder, give this a try!
