Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
This is my top fave foundation. I didn't really like liquid foundation bcoz i feel that its quiet heavy and i don't like that feeling on my face. Since i don't really need a full coverage I decided to go for a powder foundation. I love this powder foundation, it stays on my face for the whole day i rarely need to touch up when using this. Weird thing is, i find that when i sleep on this for a bit and wake up the effect it leaves on my skin is flawless I love it lol. Need to buy one soon coz i've run out -.-
Why did it take so long for me to find this stuff!? AMAZING!
I've been wanting to try MAC ever since I got really into the whole *make up* thing, but the price just wasn't meeting my budget. So, for my birthday (which is this weekend) my boyfriend took me to the mall on Sunday and payed for me to get this stuff (I Love the guy!) So I have now been sucked into the world of Mac! I adore this stuff. It's not too heavy and it's great for people with oily skin like me. I've noticed others have talked about it making their skin more oily through the day..I haven't had this problem at all. Yesterday I had this stuff on for about 9 hours with no touch ups and I was still pretty matte and it still looked almost perfect when I took it off last night after a long work day! Usually I have to put on primer, liquid foundation, concealer and finishing powder and have to touch up with more powder throughout the day. All I have to do now is a primer, a few spot treatments with concealer on the bad spots, and I put on a tiny bit of finishing powder once my whole face is done..and NO touch ups through the day. I'm completely won over by this product and I have a feeling I'll be making a few more trips back to MAC at some point (goodbye bank account..lol)
studio fix is the love of my life
PROS: I love MAC's Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, because it can be used for any level of coverage. If you break out, or have absolutely anything you want to cover up, this powder will definetely do the trick. To make the coverage full I use MAC's liquid foundation, and then I use the sponge that comes with this product. That covers up EVERYTHING. For a lighter coverage, I use a regular foundation brush and only use this powder. It also has an awesome matte finish, which looks awesome in pictures.
CONS: It isn't a drugstore price, so if you can't afford it, there are different alternatives.
LOVE THIS POWDER!
I use this powder over my liquid foundation and it gives it an amazing matte finish. Coverage lasts for hours and I never have to touch it up. I don't use the sponge it comes with (looks too cakey), I apply it with MAC's 134 to build the coverage I want and finish with a setting powder.
OMG, what took me so long to get this powder? My new holy grail for powder! This is probably one of the best powders I have used! My other favorite powder was Zuri loose powder in honey and amber mixed together, but either way, the color was wrong and it was a little bit heavy on my face. It looked like I was made up. This powder, right here.... I can just take a swatch of this on my mark brush to get a light dusting across my face or apply it with my Sigma F82 to get full coverage and it provides the perfect coverage without looking made up and NW45 is the perfect color for me! And in combination to the Prep+Prime Face Protect SPF50, my skin stays matte for hours without having to do a lot of touching up! I will be buying this again once I am out!
THE BEST POWDER FOUNDATION IVE USED!
Between all of the powder and mineral foundations ive tried this is my absolute favorite! It gives a matte finish and a buildable full coverage without looking like you have powder on your face. Works amazing with MAC's Matte Bronze if your going for an allover matte skin like I do. Works great with the Sigma F80 Brush and also the ELF Studio Powder Brush. (Applying with a sponge if effective as well!) With a lighter hand I end up getting the most coverage =)
Good But Not Good Enough >.<
So I've had this product for a long time now & I'm barely hitting pan now. The only think I didn't like about this product was that by the middle of the day I would look oily again & then I would have touch up. & I would apply it around 7 in the morning & it would start to fade like about 12 in the afternoon. Overall this product is good if you don't have that much of an oily skin.
good even coverage
This gives a very matte and full coverage on your skin. This works well if you have alot of flaws to conceal. This tends to feel heavy though and has a tendency to clog up pores and break you out if you have acne prone/oily skin. It oxidizes on skin after awhile like most mac foundations.
I wouldn't use this powder foundation for m normal make-up routine in the morning because it doesn't give me enough coverage but over a normal liquid foundation it's too heavy for me ... but if you really want to be all covered up maybe you'll like it.
What I like to do instead is to carry the Studio Fix in my little Make-Up back which I have in my purse. It's perfect when you notice that your foundation isn't as perfect as it was in the morning and you want to touch up. Then the Studio Fix gives you enough coverage and a nice finish.
Because it is so creamy I like to apply it with the sponge that comes with it because for my kabuki brush the consistency is to creamy.
Its so creamy and soft and applies so easy. It takes me 2 minutes to cover my face. It covers evenly but doesn't cover up everything so the face still looks natural. Works best with a primer. I've used a brush and sponges to apply and both work equally well.
