Best Eye Shadow Brush
This brush is the go to must have brush for eye shadow. It packs on color it blends it if you turn it side ways you can honestly use it and only it for your whole eye shadow look. Now it's not cheap but it is so worth it if you invest in only one brush from MAC make it this one.
This brush I use every single day. It is perfect for applying eyeshadow everywhere. If you had smaller lids though it would probably be tougher to use. Keep that in mind.
The 239 brush is the best eyeshadow brush and is a must have for every makeup kit. I used it to apply pressed & loose eyeshadows, nothing packs on colour like it!
I use this brush all the time to apply my eyeshadows and it is the best for me! Not only you can apply but you can blend too, not a lot but just enough to blur out the eyeshadow. WIN.
Good quality brush
I like the 239 but I love the 228. The fibers of a 239 are flimsy and loose compared to the 228. The 228 is smaller but more dense so there is no where fo r the shadow to go but on your lid. If you are trying to cover a large area with a frost or shimmer then 239 but I prefer the 228 for mattes and satin textured eyeshadows.
I have like 4 of these! The best flat eyeshadow brush ever. Period. Packs on color like no other! (Although, if you don't mind an awkwardly long paint brush handle, Loew Cornell makes a brush called Maxine's Mop 3/8" that is a really great dupe and a lot cheaper).
Great to have!
This was my first MAC brush, and I have had a love hate relationship. At first I thought it was too flat and did not pick up any colour, but that got better over time as you wash it a few times. However, sometimes it does have a tendency to kind of stay flat and so rather than picking up product it feels like the bristles are just kinda gliding over the product and not actually picking it up. I feel it's at its best when you use a very soft eyeshadow like the Sleek shadows or MAC Woodwinked. On its good days, it is amazing, especially for people with small lid space. It deposits colour beautifully and evenly. It's also quite multipurpose in that you can use the tip to apply eyeshadow under your lash line as it is quite thin. I think it's worth getting and trying - it will last you forever, you'll use it all the time, and if you don't like it, it's popular enough that you're sure to be able to sell it.
I'm not too impressed with very many MAC products. Actually the only products I really like are the shadows and the brushes. If you have the extra cash, definitely pick this brush up.
The bristles are very soft and easy to clean. I haven't experienced any shedding. The handle is light weight and it picks up shadow very well. I mostly use the 239 to apply color onto my eyelid color. However, if you don't want to spend the $24+ (not sure how much it costs) on an eyeshadow brush, there are definitely other great quality and cheaper brushes.
a must have for all beauties
im sorry, but this brush kicks any brushes butt. it is by far my favourite. ive never seen anything better. its all the mac artists go to brush for eyes, and for good reason!
