I didn’t like it at all, it’s not just that this brush is so small that it takes ages to apply it to all eyelashes, but it is also painful, yes painful, the brush has the hardest bristles that I have ever found in a mascara and every time you touch the eyelid with it, or rather the part of the eyelid where the eyelashes root, it hurts, it’s like an hedgehog and not just by the look of it and as the process is so long, the whole thing becomes a little bit of a torture … and once you have passed the ordeal of punctures and after a long while having to go just lash by lash, the result is not anything great, but just something any average mascara would achieve. The only good thing about it is that yes, it is true that it reaches to all eyelashes (after irritating the eyelids of course) so the only use I see in it is for retouching or for an extra finishing touch after using another mascara and frankly just for that use and for that price, it is not worth at all. Givenchy has a lot of products (I especially like their powders and lipsticks) in which the money is well spent, but this Phenomen’eyes thing is a real bluff.
Oh my god.
I don't always buy this mascara due to price but when I do, I remember why I love the damn thing so much!! For those outer lashes normal mascara can't get to... This product will do the trick. Gives you a wow effect, opening your eyes and reaching the hard to get lashes! Super dark, super easy to use, surprisingly even in the small packaging, lasts quite a while!! Buy in online to save yourself some $$$
great to capture all of the baby lashes
This mascara has such a cool wand! It's great for getting all of the little baby lashes at the corners of your eyes completely covered! I never use this mascara as my only mascara, but it's great to "complete" your lash look! The less expensive "impostors" are no where near as good! The wand itself is small and firm so it's more effective than the other versions of mascaras with similar wands...the other mascaras' wands are more bendy so it's harder to get all of the little lashes perfectly!
In love with the Acid Blue one :)
First of all, great idea to have a round brush, really easy to apply, especially on someone else. I really like it a lot, but my haert only beats for the ACID BLUE Phenomen'eyes... i just love the colour, it applies like a charm & it's waterproof, but not the harsh type of waterproof mascara... its doesn't dry out the eyelashes & you don't need special make up remover...; i just love it :)
Poked my eyes
I like the formula and design the bottle comes in, the only problem was that the brush poked my eyeball alot, maybe because I wasnt used to the round spikey brush. Also I noticed that I had to recurl my lashes after applying the mascara, I guess the formula weigh my lashes down, and it also took a lil long to dry :(
Its really cool!
I love this product! This made my lashes super long and black! It is very pigmented and lasts on my lashes for a long time! it has great control because of the short wand. You can get every lash and its great for your bottom lashes as well.
Hands Down the BEST Mascara... But...
I love trying new mascaras - mostly because I really dislike false eyelashes. I love this mascara! I read a review in Allure and was fairly skeptical. I also thought the applicator was a gimmick. OH MY GOODNESS... my lashes popped when I applied the mascara. They looked longer and plusher. Impressive. Scary impressive. Then I headed out and by the time I reached my car my eyes were watering something fierce - I live in Atlanta or as I call it... the fifth ring of Makeup Hell... and the lovely mascara ran... and ran and ran. It's highly pigmented so it wasn't pretty. I think that it ran more than any other mascara I've used. The watery eyes are my issue and do not detract from how amazing the mascara is. I am going to head out to Sephora this weekend to pick up the waterproof version. I'll update my review then.
Nothing short of the best
It took me forever to find the right mascara, but this won me over in a heartbeat. I bought this before I knew how to put on falsies, and it gave my lashes that effect. You can use the wand in any direction, and give your lashes any shape possible. I only wish it was a wee bit cheaper, and that Sephora was closer to my hometown. The next best thing I use is Loriel's Voluminous Million Lashes. That's def second best to Givenchy.
