I actually really like Essie polishes. They're super smooth and don't require that many coats. I usually use the pastels, but I believe I've used Bordeaux and they're always a super smooth texture and have a bit of gloss with or without topcoat. Very nice!
Beautiful colour and surprisingly long wearing
I don't own any ESSIE polishes and can't remember using the brand with a mani/pedi at the salon, either. So, this was a random pick. I was specifically looking for a reddish or purple dark. I was actually looking for Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI but couldn't find it and I settled on this one.
I don't wear red on my nails and prefer the dark/short nail look so I choose nearly black colours. This is soooooo lovely. No glitter, just a deep blood red. Not flashy but really eye catching.
I love it!
Essie nails polishes are nothing short of amazing. I really love the color pay off and they are really long lasting. The only thing I would change is the amount of product which I wish there was more for your buck, but its still a great polish
I love the nude colour, so cute! I recommed you use this in a manicure maybe. NEUTURAL COLOURS FTW. Essie is one of my favourite brands. Not too sheer, not too colorful if that makes sense but when I put it on, you could hardly tell I had colored my nails. It was what i wanted.
Not crazy about this brand...
I will start off with the fact that I actually love the Luxe Effects Collection. I received one in my Birchbox and I really love how it looked. I also think they have one of the best matte top coats!
In general...I am so mad that I read so many great reviews and people saying how much they love Essie. I think this polish is awful. The colors are great but I do not like the formula. It's not thick enough and it takes several coats for the colors to even look good....I hate the small brushes...I could really go on but I am definitely not in to this brand at all. :(
So let me start out by saying how I love love LOVE Essie nail polish! This is the best nail polish ever and I just about own every shade. However, when I purchased this one I was thinking it was going to be a pink that popped out. Not too sheer, not too colorful if that makes sense but when I put it on, you could hardly tell I had colored my nails. I have to put on like 3-4 coats to tell its a pink and not just clear. I will still continue to buy Essie, guess this just wasn't made for my nails and thats okay. SO my advice is to try it on before you buy and become upset. =)
Great Color, could have been better.
I bought this polish while on one of my mini nail polish sprees. I love the color itself but it's like impossible to apply. First off I hate the brush it's so small & makes the polish look streaky. They should try upgrading to the newer wide brushes like the Sally hansen polishes. The polish dries up extremely easily, the polish would be thick & sticky quickly after just painting one nail. I definitely think the polish was not worth the price I paid. What a shame.
I'm obsessed with Essie as a nail polish brand in general and Shine of the Times is absolutely lovely! I love the effect it gives and how versatile it is no matter the color. The foil effect definitely adds a wow-factor to any color. It's easy and really gorgeous! Love this!
