I started using this over a year ago and I instantly fell in love. Does exactly what its suppose to do and doesn't make me look cakey! Love Love Love!
My go-to blot powder!
The ELF Studio Translucent Matifying Powder has been my go-to blot powder for over a year now. I've repurchased this twice already, and even bought an extra for my professional kit. I love that this powder is translucent because it never adds more coverage than I need, which means when I'm touching up my makeup, it won't make my face look cakey. I don't use the sponge applicator that it comes with because I don't find it works very well on me. I tend to use either a puff applicator or a tiny kabuki brush to dust my skin when I need to reduce some shine.
The packaging is very sleek and the large mirror inside is very useful. I would recommend this to everyone because we all could use a little matifying sometime in our day. I've also used this on BF in the past when we take photos, men don't care if they are shiny, but if we're taking a nice photo, I want him to look fresh too :)
NOT WORTH IT.
I honestly thought this was going to be perfect to keep in my bag for "on-the-go" touch ups, but it is TERRIBLE! I used it once and haven't touched it since :( I was so bummed when I used it because it was not translucent, what so ever. It left a pinky, chalky, gross looking finish. It basically made my pores show up even more than if I used nothing at all.
Gets Rid of Shine!
I have oily skin that no matter what I do gets shine half way threw the day. I love this compact because I can just throw it in my purse and go! It doesn't keep the oil from coming back but I can live with that.

My Favorite Powder!
I bought this powder months ago because I was curious about it. I was placing an order online and was getting it for half off so why not try it! Well, I love it! It's affordable and I love the packaging! I'm on my second one already. =) I really love this powder! I use this powder to set my foundation. Blends very well and it really does make my face matte and takes away any shine that I don't want. I however don't use the sponge applicator it comes with. I use my powder brush or blending brush to apply this. I do use the sponge when I am on the go whenever I feel like I need to touch up though. But then again I am not super oily so I don't need much touching up. The sponge applicator isn't bad either. This product last long and goes on very smoothly without looking chalky!
Cons - May not be good for those who have extremely dry skin because it can accentuate dry flaky skin. May not work for all skin tones.
Just Picked it up today
I use to hate powders but I guess I can try them again and I've heard good stuff about this product in videos I watch on youtube , I'm not much of a makeup person but I don't mind trying new things to make my self pretty here and there
I have used this powder over a month and for the cheapt price it is an ok product. This powder comes with a sponge applicator (but I don´t like it at all) and so I prefer applying it with a powder brush. It is lightweight and it isn´t cakey. It might make your skin very pale looking ( it happened to me somehow couple of times). I like the packaging and that it comes with nice big mirror.
I really like this product. I use it for setting my foundation as well as setting my under eye concealer for days when I'm not wearing foundation. It doesn't come show up cakey and works great to reduce shine. I carry it with me for touch ups throughout the day.
