okay, so my friend has this straightener, and shes had it for a good 3 years, and it still works like its brand new. it makes your hair so incredibly straightt. just don't waste your money on other straighteners. Save your money and buy the CHI.

I know a cheaper alternative

CHI is awesome and one of the best flat irons I've used on my hair but I've never bought one because it's just too pricey for me. A good cheaper alternative (about 50% cheaper) is the Generic Value Products (GVP) flat irons. You can buy them at any Sally's Beauty Supply and they work just the same as a CHI. I love my GVP just as much as any CHI i've used. It's awesome for straightening my curly hair and even giving me a more controlled curl. I love how versatile these flat irons are but I just thought I'd let you girls know about GVP, just in case you didn't know about them yet! :D

And BTW GVP makes generic hair styling products as well. I use their Generic Paul Mitchell Skinny serum whenever I straighten my hair. Same smell, same texture, same ingredients, same EVERYTHING... except the price! :)

Love it, Love it!!! A must have to control the fine fly aways that just won't don' t want to stay in place. Perfect for in the morning before work.

The Best.

The best flat iron i've ever used. The size is perfect. and the lack of heat setting really doesnt bother me.
It does get really hot but it makes it easier to straighten my hair.
It's never burned my hair.
i just really love it.

This is a great flat iron! I've had mine for 4 years, and while its not quite as efficient as the day I bought it, it totally works, and I won't have to replace it anytime soon.

I have the 1 inch and the 2 inch Chi straighteners and I love them both so much. You don't have to go over your hair a million times to get it straight. Great products, only straighteners I will ever use.

this chi is awesome..i use it for everything...straightening hair, curls, formal hair styles, classic styles...this thing is amazing..just remember to buy heat protectant for your hair because you can fry your hair really easily

Gave me the best hair on homecoming night! I'll post a picture on my profile of my hair! It was absolutely lovely! It held all night too! I've never been so happy with a hair styling tool! I always use this to give my hair the perfect curls!

After two years my CHI came apart. The ceramic plates practically fell off. It also singed a piece of my hair off. I probably set it too high, but it was a horrible experience. Since then, I've switched to the T3, which I absolutely adore.

MUST HAVE!!

I know what you're thinking...too expensive?! But it is so worth it!! It does both straighten AND curl your hair and trust me I have had my share of drugstore brands! Don't get me wrong I do own a Remington straightener which is a cheaper alternative but nothing beats the CHI!! Highly recommended if you just can't leave the house with either pin straight hair or perfectly bouncy curls!! xoxo
