What's the difference between a lace braid and an actual braid?

A lace braid is constructed similarly to a french or dutch braid, however instead of pulling hair into the braid from both sides of a part, you only pull hair from one side. These pictures didn't turn out too well, showing the look unfortunately =/

The picture is good! Is it basically a waterfall braid?

Again, very similar…Except now, with a waterfall braid, you leave a strand out of the braid as you braid a new one in. For example, as you braid your normal braid, take one piece from say, the right side of the braid and braid it in (combining it with the right-most strand). Next, instead of combining another piece form the opposite side, drop the original left most piece and braid in a new piece from that opposite side. It's a bit confusing to explain! Would you like a tutorial on a couple types of braiding..it's quite easy :)

Oh, haha, if you could do a tutorial I'd get it a lot clearer, I see what your saying but then I don't...

Yeah, it super hard to describe! I'll try to have one up by tomorrow evening! :)
