Hi Ruby--I just painted it on top of the brown using a small, thin brush. The half moon itself has a layer of white underneath so I didn't have to use so many layers of the turquoise/aqua polish. Are you gonna try it? :)

I love using white as a base too! I would try it, but I don't have a steady hand for small stuff like that that half-moon. :\

Ooh, I guess it was! Thanks! I used the sponging method from The Nailasaurus (http://www.thenailasaurus.com/2012/...). I sponged on the blue on the tips a couple of times first since it wasn't as opaque as I thought, then I sponged on the blue/brown gradient using the tutorial. I think the fact that they're both cremes also helped too. You should try it! :) P.S. Your make-up skills are impressive!
