The 2011 Beauty Social Recap

This weekend, Beauties from all over flocked to the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel for Beautylish’s first ever Beauty Social. Here, beauty lovers of all ages mixed and mingled with their favorite brands, bloggers, and even a few celebrities! When attendees weren’t participating in inspiring (and often hilarious!) expert panels such as Brown Girl Beauty Uncensored and Expert Trendspotting Secrets Revealed, they were getting prettified at one of the nine booths—which included Cover FX complexion makeovers, Urban Decay glitter tattoos, Makeup Mandy faux lashes, CND Shellac manis, and an ultra fabulous Wella braid bar!

The good times kept rolling post-sunset at the VIP cocktail party on Saturday night, where Beauties rubbed elbows with the day’s speakers while noshing on adorable, bite-sized cupcakes. On Sunday, a sea of fishtail braids filled the ballroom for another day of celebration. Beauties continued to buzz from booth to booth, stopping for Fresh sugar lip treatments, Temptu airbrushing, Goody ponytails, and a pop of Sugarpill color. Speakers such as Billy B, Kandee Johnson, and Temptalia’s Christine Mielke kept seats packed as they shared their insider’s perspective of the beauty industry and answered audience questions about everything from blogging tips to how to stay positive.
