Tween diva Selena Gomez looked radiant and feminine as she walked down the 2011 Grammy Awards red carpet. Celebrity Makeup Artist Karan Mitchell wanted Selena's makeup to complement her champagne colored J. Mendel dress, keeping the look soft and glowy. FACE GRAMMY MAKEUP 2011: SELENA GOMEZ
For Selena's skin, Mitchell used Cover Girl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation to give her face a flawless finish. To highlight the t-zone and highlight under the eyes, she used theCover Girl CG Smoothers Concealer in 'Medium'. To set the base, she used Cover Girl TruBlend Pressed Power in '#2 Translucent Light' with a soft brush. She then applied Cover Girl Cheekers Blush in 'Pretty Peach' to the apples of the cheeks.
EYES GRAMMY MAKEUP 2011: SELENA GOMEZ
Mitchell first started with Selena's eyes. She lined her upper and lower lashline withCover Girl LiquilineBlast Eyeliner in 'Brown Blaze'. "I love how the liquid-like pencil blends so easily…you can easily control its intensity," says Mitchell. Using a medium eyeshadow brush, Karan blended the light shade from the Cover Girl Smoky ShadowBlast in 'Bronze Fire' on the entire eyelid up to the brow. With a smaller eyeshadow brush, she then took Step two, the darker shade, blended the color above and below the eye and into the crease of the eyelid. Mitchell then used the Cover Girl Eye Enhancers Eyeshadow in 'Brown Smolder' on the outside corners of her upper eyelids to create more dimension, and drew a thin line with a slight wing to the outer edges on the upper lashline using Cover Girl LineExact Liquid liner in 'Very Black'. She finished Selena's eyes with two coasts of Cover Girl LashBlast Volume Mascarain 'Black'.
