Q: Your prom makeup look was adorable—do you remember what you wore?

Oh gosh, it was so long ago! I applied a lot of black eye liner and piled on loads of Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara (that's all I used to wear.) I remember putting on Coty loose powder and a really pretty Cover Girl lipstick—in a pink shade.

Q: How did you choose your makeup for the big day? Did you think about the hair and the dress too?

I thought black liquid liner would make me look "fancy." Haha! The hair—it wasn't good. I curled it and clipped half of it up in the back. I definitely wished I had a "salon" updo like other girls at school. No one had prom hairstyle tutorials on the internet back then! Young girls can really experiment and get creative with their beauty style now thanks to YouTube and blogs—it's awesome!

Q: Did you have any prom beauty mishaps? 

Thankfully, I don't recall any makeup disasters. My hair was pretty awful, does that count?

Q: If you could change your prom beauty style, what would you have done differently?

I would've had someone do my hair for me! Haha, enough about my hair. I wish I would've really glammed it up for prom. More drama, more glitter, and false eye lashes! It's your night to amp up an everyday look, so your beauty should complement your glamorous style. Dress up your face like your hair and gown!

Q: What's your best tip for someone doing their own makeup for prom?

Try a few different looks until you find one you absolutely love—you've got to feel beautiful and confident! A great long-wearing lipstick will save the hassle of lip touch-ups all night. Make sure to keep powder or blotting tissues in your clutch—in case you get crazy on the dance floor.
