Inglot's Smoky Eye Tips
Published Aug 2, 2011

Achieving a smoky eye "is all about blending," according to Inglot's makeup masters. Taking the world by storm with their incredible color palettes (they currently have over 300 shades of eye shadow!), Inglot is becoming a cult favorite amongst beauty junkies. We stopped by the Inglot Studio in New York City to learn some tips on how to achieve a smoky eye.
-
Always, always, always start with an eye shadow primer. This ensures that all of the shadows you apply will stay in place.
-
Start with your lightest shadow and work up to a darker color. The darkest color should always start at your lashes and get lighter.
-
Use an angled brush to apply the darkest shadow and press it first into your crease and along your lash line.
-
A curved brush makes it a lot easier to apply your liner. With a curved brush, you need less of a steady hand and will almost always get it right.
-
Apply a light shimmer to inner corners of your eyes and on the center of your eyelid.
-
When applying your blush, always start at the hairline and work your way forward, towards the center of your face. This ensures that you don't end up with too much product on the apples of your cheeks.
