Finally re-opening my YT channel! Do's and Don'ts?

Hi guys! I just treated myself to a new HD camera I've been saving up for forever :) I wanted to start making beauty videos again since my last ones were VERY bad quality.

My main problem is, I don't want to record myself talking because I have a strong Scottish accent which some people might find difficult to understand despite me being well spoken. I know this can be an off-putting factor for alot of people.

I just wanted to ask some of you who are more experienced at making videos (and watching them!) and wanted to know the basic do's and don'ts, any advice and stuff like that?

I find myself getting bored if videos go beyond 6 mins, I understand certain techniques take time but I can only watch someone apply eyeshadow for so long. Good lighting! And if you are worried about the voiceover stuff just put notes... short ones tho and you can speed up lengthy applications! good luck!

Okay, I have a hard of hearing (we strongly prefer d/Deaf/hard of hearing over "hearing impaired", by the way) accent and while I've gotten comments about how my voice is so~ annoying, I don't let it bother me and you shouldn't let the Scottish accent thing bother you either. Hell, people are going to like your Scottish accent more than my German/Southern US HOH accent. c:

On reviews, accents can~ sometimes be a problem, but overall, with tutorials it's usually (well it shouldn't really be) an issue because personally, if I can see what you're doing, it's all good.

i like to mix and change it up. some tutorials i will do voice overs, some i will do just me doing makeup with music, some i will talk the whole time. that way i can see what people like and its just a fun change (: be yourself and have fun! if you are bored people will tell. (:
