So my hair in its natural state is a combo of curly, wavy, and a few random straight pieces(mixed just like me lol) so I'm always looking for a great curl product. I like a softer hold vs. a crunchy wet look..any suggestions?!
Try Garnier Fructis products. I am mixed and I have really curly hair, but some places in my hair do not have as structured curls as other places. Garnier Frutis works for me and it inexpesinse and can be bought at any drug store. I usually get it from Ride-Aide
I use Miss Jessies Curly Meringue....well that's just one item I use. But that is the one that gives superior results. Then I discovered this stuff from Kinky-Curly called Perfectly Polished and I use this after applying the Curly Meringue. Gives me nice soft shiny curls.
You may want to try a cleansing conditioner or co-shampoo. I have the same type of hair and once I stopped shampooing, it totally changed my hair to lovely, frizz-less curls. I still shampoo once every week or two though.
Definitely try Kinky Curly. There are some 'rinse out' conditioners that you can leave in that gives you good clumps, but it doesn't work on all types (mine included).
I've been really liking the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.
I use a small amount, apply all over my hair then I scrunch from the ends up to my scalp and it gives my unruly hair, even curls. It holds without being crunchy. Plus it smells great. Only $9.99 at Target or drugstore.

Lush's R&B is amazing for this (if you're okay with the smell). Also, Bumble & bumbles Curl Defining Cream!
