Nope you don't have to drink the tea but cucumbers help with dark circles also. Cut little slices & let them sit on your eyes for about 30 minutes. You can do this a few times a week & you should see a difference.
I got that from a beauty specialist did my facial on my wedding ,, she did mention the tea bags eye mask as well the cucumbers,, along with that give urself eye massage for the dark circles as that is actually blood under the soft skin so with massaging you are energizing your eye.
I use the organic coffee bean eye cream by 100% Pure, which works great. I also made my own treatment inspired by the tea bags thing (since I don't keep tea, it makes me nauseous) I put dried chamomile, burdock root, rose hips and orange peel in muslin and tied it off, then boiled it in water for about twenty minutes. Then I poured it into an eye cube tray and after it froze I mixed one with some cool water. Put in some cotton pads, then put them on my eyes. I still had some left over so after a few minutes I replaced the pads with fresh ones. After about 10-15 minutes (I forgot to set a timer) there was no color difference between my undereyes and the rest of my face!
Tea is amazing for you! Very healthy! After you brew the tea, save it so you can drink it! And only use green tea for under your eyes - you take the bags out and refrigerate them, and once they're nice and cold, let them sit on/under your eyes for about 15 minutes!

Get some sleep. Aim at 8 hours every night & over time your dark circles & bags should fade away.
