For products like foundation I prefer high end but that's because I'm incredibly pale and find it next to impossible to find drugstore products to match my skin. Otherwise, I have a complete mixture of brands.
I agree with @jessica I have a mix but with foundation I have to have a higher end because I am a warm dark which is hard to match with drugstores. I do like Wet n Wilds eye shadows but normally I wear UD or Sugarpill. Oh and for bases I use the maybeline color tattoos and nyx pencils.
IDK I always explain it to my boyfriend like "it's my face, it's an investment, and I will use the best on it" so when it comes to THE FACE I stand by high end products (not saying drug store stuff sucks, I just won't take chances) however when it comes to like Mascara... I have a mix of high end and drugstore. But when it comes to like everything else I wanna say I am 90% HE and 10% Drugstore.
Drug store. I love makeup, but I have more important things to do with my money. To me, drugstore makeup isn't too bad as long as you know how to use it to make it work for you.

Candy Yes I understand.. i am a High End kind of gal but i do dable in some of the drugstore products.. i find that some of them are rather impressing
Jesssica I'm with you.. When it comes to foundation i am strictly highend... but such a s Mascra and Liner i actually prefer a few Drugstore brands
Beatrice I have tried Wet and wild eyeshadows and they weren't soo bad... They didn't last as long as my high end pigments but none the less tehy produced great colors
and NYX is a personal favorite of mine.. for bases and Eyeliner
Raisa Exactlyyyyy If you can't splurge on your face, what can you splurge on. But agreedf my Favorite Mascara and Eyelines are from Drugstores..
Maybelline Define-A-Lash Eyeliner is my favorite Black pencil on the market and
Nyx jumbo Milk pencil I use as my base alot
And my favorite mascara is Maybelline Great Lash
Edie I understand but i personally feel like whats more important than the face ... so thats one thing i wont be cheap with... while i do love drugstore products .. when it comes to foundation and primer and pigments i go with what i know and thats the highend.... but other tahn that i'm with you on the Drugstore kick i do want to do a tutorial on Drugstore makeup.. what Foundations do you like the most?
I prefer high end makeup but I use it in conjunction with my drug store makeup. I use my high end shadows and finish off my look with a wet n wild single shadow for the highlight, my NARS blush with an E.L.F brush, my entire high end face topped off with a Rimmel lipstick. For me I like to try things out and play around with how they work together. I feel I can get the most out of my makeup by mixing things up and feeling out all brands, formulas and products:)
Ive been working in the industry for about 3 years and ive learned that you definitely get what you pay for!!! The only thing i cheap out on is liner! Take care of your skin ladies! Its with you for life!
What a lot of people seem to be oblivious to is the fact that the cheaper drugstore brands, i.e. Wet n' Wild or NYX, tend to be the more pigmented drugstore brands. I personally don't own eyeshadows by Maybelline, Revlon, or CoverGirl because I know that they aren't as pigmented and they are more expensive. I might as well spend 2 dollars more on an eyeshadow that has good pigmentation, or I could pay 3 dollars for an (almost) exact dupe of a high end eyeshadow.

Terra Exactly.. i actuallly really Like E.L.F. Brushes.... thery are very affordable and and very efficant
Amira Amen to That
Dana Agreed I love NYX with a passion.. one of the better drugstore brands
High end is what I use but I have some drugstore like lipsticks. Why I usually stay away since most of it is NOT good for your skin since of the ingredients when comes to foundations.
I guess you could say I'm primarily high-end, but that's not entirely correct. Nearly all of my makeup is either mineral, gem or fruit based. I really love all the indie mineral makeup brands out there! Pay $14 at bare escentuals or an eyeshadow of comparable quality for $6 at a smaller company? :3
Drug store!!!! I have learned in the past that just because it costs more dosnt mean it works better!! Most drugstore products work the same if not better than high end products! And it is very affordable so you can try out a lot of things and find what works best
I am high end, but I dabble in drugstore. I own about a 75/25 ratio (with high end being 75). Don't get me wrong I love my high end..I just can't always afford it or get to the store for it do I've found drugstore versions
i love my drug store brand i love how affordable they are and u can find some great products like 100 off of high end and so I generally snub my nose to high end i just dont understand how some people can buy like 60.00s for a eyeshadow pallette for like 6 colors im like no thank you i will stick my drug store were i can get 6 colors for under 6.00s and the pay off is good
I like a mix of both. I have a higher success rate with drugstore lipsticks versus the drugstore eyeshadows so I go high-end with my eye colors. Just today as a matter of fact I found three great lip colors from CVS ( all by Revlon) that dupe MAC shades (except for one) and two nail colors from Loreal that are both dupes for Essie shades.
I think like so many others, you get what you pay for. I hate being a makeup snob, but I totally am. I do experiment with a lot of drug store stuff though. One thing I can never compromise is mascara. I find a lot of the drugstore brands flake on me which I hate. As far as I'm concerned, I think there's an exception to every rule of my face. Haha. All makeup can work if you know how to manipulate it.

Most of my hg products are high end. I'm weary of drugstore pigmentation so I generally snub my nose at it rather than giving it a shot.

On the whole, high end. But there are a few drugstore products I really like. Wet'n'wild eye shadow, revlon lip stains, cover girl wet slicks gloss.

I like drugstore over high end just because I feel like you can make any make up work for you without having to spend $35 on one lipstick for example.
