Fairy-Winged Eye Liner

Published Jan 20, 2012

Do you love cat eyes? How about adding a little flair to your winged liner with a whimsical flourish on the ends? The fairy-winged effect (check out Cecilie Alstad O.'s flawless version above!) is a fun way to create one-of-a-kind designs and free-form shapes without committing to a full wing. See how these Beauties are trying out the ethereal trend.

Donatella F.

Donatella complemented her streak of bright blue shadow with three delicate swirls above and below her lid. She added tiny dots to mimic the fine details of a fairy's wing.

Cristal R.

Cristal went full out for her supernatural creation. Using a rainbow of yellow, green, and blue shadow as her base, she layered large squiggles, dots, and paisley patterns across her lids up to her hairline. The final touch? A cute butterfly appliqué above her hidden brow.

Mandy T.

Opting for cool winter tones, Mandy dusted blue and silver shadow on her lids with a hint of violet on her lower lash line. Using a complementary cerulean shade, she drew two small squiggles slightly below the outer corner and added small gems for celestial shimmer.
