Your technique is really good, I like the flat brush, I've never seen them here in LA. your foundation color is a bit dark for the tone on your face though which is more pale. I've noticed I need different tones for different seasons. Paler in winter and deeper in summer no matter how much sunscreen I wear. The color matches your shoulder perfectly but your face is lighter and so should have lighter shade.
