Put your hair in a dry bandana and then blow dry it a little. Or you can let it air dry out of the bun

Hello! I tried this last night and I did get beach waves but my hair is still wet. Should I dry my hair a little bit before putting it in the bandana next time or would this stop it from working as well? Thanks :) ps-I love the idea it's very creative!
