STEPS:

1. Before applying anything, make sure your lips are properly moisturized, and optionally, exfoliated. A good ombre lip depends on a good, moisturized base.

2. Using a concealer, apply it around the edges of your lips, making it thicker in a triangle-like shape around the edges of your mouth. Blend it outward. This will soften the edges of your lips and make them look slightly pouty, plus create the best base for your lipstick.

3. Using a pink lipstick, apply it to your lips with your finger using light patting motion. This will give you a soft wash of color instead of an intense application of color. I am using ELF Essential Lipstick in Flirtatious for this step.

4. Using a red lipstick, pat this on your lips ONLY where your lips part. Concentrate this mostly on the lower lip (for me, that's where the shadow hits the most; we're just trying to intensify the shadow to create the best ombre effect). Make sure all the edges are smooth and you're done ^_^
