I had two appointments this week, one with the midwife at home, and one with the consultant at the hospital who doesn't think she needs to see me again. The midwife said I might not be able to get a home birth, but I really don't want a hospital birth because of what happened last time and the hospital here is horrible, everytime I go there I come back with a cold as well, but the staff were horrible, one of them gave me an injection I declined and wouldn't give me any more maternity pads, they wouldn't help me with expressing milk either. It took ages to be discharged, I had to ask several times and it took over six hours. They put me on a ward with mums who had newborns when I had a baby that could have potentially died, and there was no food.
She also said I might need another growth scan, but the consultant said it wasn't essential. I had to have another horrible blood test and a urine test because I might have a little infection. I'm measuring 32cm from the base of the womb to the top.

I updated the hospital bag too, I've taken out the really tiny premature zebra outfit of Neil's and added a newborn one, but I kept the two small baby grows, there's also some socks and booties and some hats, as I'm getting the the stage where neonatal stays will be short I want everything packed so if I do give birth early and am able to get discharged with the baby we can just go without having to ask my mum to fetch too many things.
I haven't got nappies in the bag yet, I think the hospital provide them, I'm not packing any until I know it will be in newborn nappies and not micro ones.
