When our Sun turns into a red giant, our earth's atmosphere is completely destroyed and because of the extensive heat and radiation it blows earth up. Leftovers are millions of hot solid rocks and other materials.
All life form is lost, and we...as humans, no longer exist. But there is a hope.
A few thousand rocks that now travel long distances for millions of years as meteorites bring the seed of life to new uninhabited planet.
How can this be? On these rocks for millions of years, evolved strange human dna and radiated microbe mutations that could've stand extreme conditions and temperatures.
Now millions of years of evolution of fantastic flora, fauna and animals including adapted humanoids are created in result of our Sun's death, which is not so bad, but just proves the wonder of life cycle in any type of form.
