I'd never been to Mammoth before. Growing up Mammoth Mountain was the place to go for all your snowboarding and skiing adventures. Thanks to my brother we made a quick trip up to Mammoth Mountain for the first time. While there we did a few quick hikes, saw some deer, Devils Post Pile, Rainbow Falls, and enjoyed the near by town Bishop, and drove back to L.A.

During our hikes, I realized this was also my first time seeing a true forest. I've hiked in tropical rain forests, desert, and of course L.A., but never have I seen forest like this. Being outdoors seeing nature and slowing down this summer has been amazing for the soul and I'm happy we did it.
