Here's how I feel about MAC: Overall MAC makes great products throughout their range which is massive so there's something for everyone. From eyeshadow to skincare, a very high percentage of their products preform well, and many are truly excellent, cult faves and staples. They pretty much invented Makeup as Fashion beyond traditional color stories with all their excellent concept collections, and tons of brands want to copy MAC because they are king. They are internationally available, and nearly everyone has access to it in some way or another. Their products for a high-end brand are moderately priced. But they've gone over-board with collections to the point where long time fans are fatigued, bored or just uninspired; their limited edition stuff is too often a joke. Their eyeshadow formula, while still great, needs a revamp since other brands have come out with more and more impressive formulas, particularly in the matte, satin and pearl areas. With that said, I still have a lot of MAC makeup and love what I continue to buy for the most part ^_^
