Hey guys,

So it's been a bit over a week since I started Accutane, and since a lot of you mentioned that you were also taking this medication, I figured that having chats about it is probably a good way forward while I'm taking it.

So a few things that I outlined in this video, plus a bit more info:

- I am in my second week of taking Accutane. I'm still only on 10mg, but will begin to introduce 20mg next week.

- I am also taking 25mg of Spironolactone, a medication that is meant for high blood pressure (I think...) but has been known to improve acne due to regulating hormonal imbalances. I think I've been on it about a month, and remain neutral on its effectiveness since it can take a few months to work. But I'm definitely noticing the diuretic effect!

- In addition, I'm still taking Prednisone. This was prescribed to me by my dermatologist, and is just to help calm my severe acne down. I started on a full tablet, and now I'm on half a tablet. I will stop taking Prednisone in a few days.

- I have found a few scientific journals about Accutane and the effects of this medication on people in different situations, but I haven't found any specific stories relating to deaths. There are mentions of depression and suicide in some papers I've read, but nothing that formally links any of it together. I cannot find this apparent 10 year study that proves they are not linked, and that's the one I want to see!

- TRUST YOURSELF. Write in a journal, understand your feelings and emotions when you're in a calm state and recognise when you're feeling off. I think that if you're young and taking Accutane, then it can be incredibly hard to manage your emotions. Don't dismiss your mental health - tell someone if you're not okay.
