Show More hi everyone ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ today i'm trying the abh subculture palette with shironuri makeup! as a fun 1 eyeshadow palette challenge, i tried to only use eyeshadows from the anastasia beverly hills (ABH) subculture palette, which has received a lot of controversy due to the formula...namely, they're difficult to use. of course, i love a good challenge...

i've never seen anyone do an actual theatrical/creative look with this palette, so i'm continuing to experiment with it to see how it performs.

for anyone unfamiliar with shironuri, the main requirement is that your face must be painted white. other than that, you are free to wear whatever makeup look you desire, complemented by accessories and outfits. my shironuri style is employing artistic elements in my makeup so that i resemble a painting. i also love natural elements, so for this ABH subculture makeup look, i tried to draw a nature scene on my face.

this makeup look was 100% improvised. there was really no inspiration for this aside from some paintings i've done of flowers in the past. i did a layering technique which i usually do when i paint, but in this video i did it with just eyeshadows. pretty fun to do but also very time consuming...this took me 8 hours to complete! whew i felt like i was going to pass out at the end lol

also my apologies if i'm not going super in depth about everything i'm doing here. i don't have enough memory cards to record 8 straight hours of filming so i recorded what i thought were the most important steps.
