heyo! today's video is a shironuri makeup look where I try to look like a very elegant pirate :3 for more details on this look, make sure to read the information below!
█ m a k e u p █
for this shironuri pirate look, i wanted to create a makeup design that made me look like a painting, but i didn't want to do it in the same style that i did with my previous art-inspired looks. so instead i decided to only use eyeshadows mixed with duraline, which create a very thin, almost watercolor-like paint.
i was heavily inspired by agnes_cecile, who is an amazing watercolor artist. one particular thing she does is break up the watercolor with a white gel pen. i decided to copy that by using a white liquid eyeliner instead. the only eyeliner that could work for this was urban decay's white liquid eyeliner because the brush is really tiny. eyeliners such as nyx's white eyeliner won't work for this because it's too thick and it tends to crack a lot.
this look was 100% improvised. i referenced a few photos while painting to help me out.
for the accessories i took an old eye patch and covered it in a sheet of lace stickers i bought from michaels ages ago, which i secured with super glue. i then added pearls on top. if you would like to see a tutorial on this, let me know! it's a really easy way to customize eye patches to make them extra fancy :3
i hope this tutorial also demonstrates that you don't need expensive makeup in order to create new looks! coastal scents eyeshadows are very cheap, and i used mostly coastal scents brushes as well.
as for the pirate theme...i just really liked the outfit yuki wore in the malice mizer MV gekka no yasoukyoku, reminded me of a fancy pirate. so i decided to really go with the theme.
if you liked this video, make sure to give it a thumbs up and all that jazz - thank you! ^_^
